We are proud to introduce Lorraine C. Miller, interim president of the NAACP.
Ms. Miller has many accolades to her name. Like how she was the first African-American, and the third woman, to serve as an officer of the U.S. House of Representatives — taking on the role of House Clerk for nearly five years beginning in 2007. Or that her heart will always be in Texas, where she loves to golf, cheer on the Dallas Cowboys, and tend to her 36 cows!
And, most importantly, that her track record as Washington D.C. branch president and member of the NAACP Board of Directors demonstrates a deep, personal commitment to the issues that define the modern day struggle for civil rights and human rights. Lorraine is the Chair of the Advocacy and Policy Board Committee.
