The NAACP is gearing up for big fights in our ongoing efforts to promote and defend civil rights and human rights.
We’re looking for people who support these causes, and are ready to stand up, help out, and be recognized. Is that you? Then now is the time to join the NAACP, as we kick off our first Membership Week of 2013!
We’ve set the goal of getting 500 supporters to become new NAACP members by the end of this week. Will you be one of the first to join? Become a member of the NAACP today:
The theme of this critical week is “Membership Means.” It’ll be your chance to hear from a few of our amazing members about why the NAACP is so important to them.
For me, membership means looking back on all the NAACP has already accomplished so far this year — and being inspired. Inspired because I know it wouldn’t be possible without the support our members are providing all over the country.
Voting-rights restoration efforts for formerly incarcerated citizens who have completed their sentences in Delaware, Iowa, and Virginia. Bringing an end to the death penalty in Maryland. Same-day voting registration and early voting in Maryland. National campaigns to raise awareness about the Voting Rights Act and gun safety. We’ve done so much together, but there is still so much more to do. We’re only as strong as our members, and we need your continued support.
Our goal is to add 500 new members to our ranks. So think about what membership could mean in your life, and then join today.
